Patios
Purposeful outdoor 'living room' zones in pavers or natural stone, sized around how your family actually gathers.
What it is
Why homeowners choose patios
A patio is the room your yard has been missing. We design patios as outdoor living rooms — distinct zones for dining, lounging, and gathering around fire — rather than one flat rectangle of pavers behind the house.
Homeowners choose us for the base beneath the surface. Twenty-plus years of masonry work means proper excavation, compacted aggregate base, edge restraints, and drainage that keeps your patio level through Virginia freeze-thaw winters.

Questions
Patios FAQ
How big should my patio be?
It depends on how you'll use it. A dining zone for six needs roughly 12x14 feet; add a lounge or fire zone and you're closer to 18x20. We size it during your consultation around real furniture, not guesswork.
Pavers or natural stone?
Pavers offer consistent sizing, more color options, and easier repairs. Natural stone gives a one-of-a-kind look with more variation. We bring samples to your on-site visit.
Will it settle or heave?
Not when the base is built right. Our masonry background shows up in excavation depth, compaction, and drainage — the parts you never see but always feel.
